FOES become LASTING FRIENDS as STARZ TEAM MATES!!
Once middle school and high school seasons are complete early each Spring, our Southern Starz program and teams bring together players from across North & Central Alabama, Southern Tennessee, and Mississippi.  When practices commence in March and our players come together in the gym for Starz practices shortly after the high school playoffs end, an interesting phenomenon occurs ... Hoover players team up with players from Bob Jones ... Huntsville players team up with players from Buckhorn & Hazel Green ... players from Johnson with players from Lee ... players from Austin with players from Decatur ... players from Madison Academy with players from West Morgan ... players from Brewer with players from Hartselle ... area foes from Woodland playing with those from Lanett ... and county rivals from Boaz and Albertville join forces!  Such is the case with two of our Starz 7th-Crider team members ... county rivals Baylee Grace Alldredge (Boaz) joined forces with Jordan Norris (Albertville) to help our Starz 7th-Crider Team win their very first AL AAU State Championship and helped lead their Starz team to a Top 20 finish at the 7th Grade AAU Division 1 National Tournament held in Kings Island, OH on July 13-18.  What happens when these former foes come together?  They usually find out that the player they really didn't like very much during school basketball actually is pretty Cool and has the same competitive fire and desire to succeed that they do!!  Check out the "Before" and "After" with Baylee Grace and Jordan!!  GO STARZ!!
